Job Description

The Development Engineer is responsible for interpreting complex engineering requirements to devise and deliver optimal design solutions for sophisticated medical device components, showcasing advanced technical expertise, working under limited supervision. The role guides the development of robust test plans, procedures, and protocols to validate engineering designs, ensuring stringent compliance with high-quality and regulatory standards. The role resolves advanced technical issues across various components, employs sophisticated problem-solving skills to minimize production downtime. The role evaluates and approves high-potential components and technologies from external vendors, ensuring alignment with organisation’s quality and performance standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and test product interfaces and embedded software for medical device components, collaborating closely with suppliers.
• Design, implement, and validate automated tests for electronic components and systems.
• Interpret complex engineering requirements and deliver optimal design solutions that meet product performance, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and protocols to ensure design verification and validation.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, improve system reliability, and minimize production downtime.
• Evaluate and approve components and technologies from external suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality, performance, and reliability requirements.
• Drive continuous product and process improvements while collaborating with cross-functional teams, communicating technical findings to stakeholders, and mentoring junior engineers.
