Job Description:

This is a hands-on operational role focused on the management and optimization of applications and systems. The position involves working with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and integrating tools for code quality and security scanning to maintain high standards across the software lifecycle. As part of the responsibilities, the operational manager will also participate in a 24×7 on-call (stand-by) rotation to ensure continuous availability and support of critical systems.

Responsibilities:

• The management of the application including security at operational level. You support in monitoring the production environment and in resolving incidents.
• You participate in 24×7 consignment services for resolving malfunctions and incidents.
• You proactively monitor and anticipate trends and developments to prevent incidents.
• You ensure the continuity, performance and availability of the service.
• You work on the development of the product in features and guarantee the quality, in addition you work on improving the development process from idea to documented product.
• You perform peer reviews to guarantee the uniformity and quality of the delivered code.
• You design, build and document the new functionalities according to existing guidelines and standards (such as ISO25010, ISO27001, BIO standards framework, OWASP).
• You develop user stories and estimate the size and complexity.
• You work on the development of standards to create a coherent, clear application architecture and facilitate reuse.
• You address team members on collaboration, code quality and documentation, you also support your team members across disciplines, skills and domains and you guarantee knowledge sharing.
• You work on the implementation and configuration of CI/CD pipelines and the monitoring thereof.
• You perform risk analyses around information security and advise on appropriate measures and ensure that these are complied with.

Required Skills:

• Experience managing business applications.
• Proficient with Linux, Docker, and JavaScript frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue.js).
• Knowledge of tools like Storybook, Harbor, Nexus, Ansible, Trivy, SonarQube, Redis, GitLab CI, and Supervisord.
• Familiar with MariaDB and DevSecOps.
• Nice to have: CSS, HTML5, Webpack, Jest, OWASP, Mattermost, Confluence, Jira, ISO25010/ISO27001, Scrum/Agile, Cypress, TypeScript, Axway B2BI, PHP (FPM).
