On this journey, we are looking for a PMO Officer who is also interested to take on a wide range of activities.
Objective of the assignment: Supporting program manager and project managers in setting up and monitoring the performance of the program, facilitating effective communication and maintaining governance structures and processes.
Role and responsibilities
As PMO, you will support the Program Manager and Project Managers in their daily work by setting up and controlling the performance of the program and facilitating the control of this in a review methodology.
As PMO you will:
- Implementing and improving project (program) standards and processes, e.g. related to project planning, financial and change management, reporting, change control, risk management and quality.
- Challenging the triple constraint (scope, timing, budget).
- Support and facilitate the performance of the overall program and attached projects.
- Provide effective program communication by setting up structures and platforms to share and structure information.
- Assist in the creation of management reports for projects in the project portfolios and set up and manage collaboration between client and connected vendor(s).
- Driving effective communication and/or escalations on the issues & risks and the required mitigation actions to the stakeholders.
- Maintain and support the governance structure and processes required to facilitate decision making and escalation of risks, issues, and changes to scope, cost, and schedule.
- Prepare, organize and facilitate project lessons learned meetings. Translating the outcome into a report out for internal and external stakeholders.
- Organize, facilitate and follow up on meetings, actions and constructively engage with stakeholders on their respective areas.
- Setting-up, arranging and facilitating meetings, workshops and team sessions.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- >8 years of experience in project support and -improvement is strongly preferred.
- Experience in IT & Business focused projects & capable of translating between the two areas.
- Knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Spotfire.
- Knowledge of collaboration tools (e.g. SharePoint, Teams).
- Experience with implementation of change and improvement projects.
- Affinity with structuring large and complex programs.
- Fluent Dutch (preferred) and English (written and verbal).
